Our Commitment

LIDS strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These internationally recognized standards explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological impairments. We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort and review the site regularly as content and technology change.

Measures We Take

  • Semantic, structured HTML with descriptive headings and landmarks for assistive technology.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alternatives for purely decorative graphics.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators, including support for Windows High Contrast Mode.
  • Color combinations chosen to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • A "Skip to main content" link and full keyboard operability.
  • Respect for the operating-system "reduce motion" preference.

Conformance Status

We aim for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. Because the site evolves over time, some content may not yet fully meet every criterion. Where we are aware of a limitation, we work to correct it as promptly as we are able.

Reporting a Barrier
